Terms of Service
Last updated: March 19, 2026
These are the terms for using the Burnt Out in Seattle website and attending our events. Nothing scary — just the basics.
What this is
Burnt Out in Seattle is an informal community meetup group. We organize creative, analog activities for people in the Seattle area. We're not a company, a nonprofit, or a therapy group.
Events and tickets
- Event tickets are purchased through Stripe. Prices are listed per event and include any material costs.
- Spots are limited. Purchasing a ticket confirms your spot.
- All ticket sales are final — no refunds. We commit to materials and headcount in advance, so we can't offer refunds once you've purchased.
- Tickets are transferrable. Can't make it? You can transfer your ticket to a different upcoming event. Just email us at kamila@burntoutseattle.com and we'll sort it out.
- We reserve the right to cancel events if needed. If we cancel, you get a full refund.
At events
- Be kind. Be respectful. That's basically it.
- No soliciting, pitching, recruiting, or networking. This is the whole point.
- We may take photos at events for the website or social media. If you'd rather not be in them, just let us know — no problem.
- We reserve the right to ask anyone to leave if they're making others uncomfortable.
Newsletter
- By signing up for our newsletter, you agree to receive occasional emails from us about events and community updates.
- You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
- See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.
Liability
Our events involve hands-on creative activities. While we do our best to keep things safe, you participate at your own risk. We're not liable for any injuries, damages, or stained clothing that may result from enthusiastic risograph printing or any other activity.
Intellectual property
Anything you create at our events is yours. We don't claim ownership of your art, prints, pottery, or competitive origami creations.
Changes
We may update these terms as needed. We'll note the date at the top. For a community this small, changes will be rare and minor.
