Mid-career and sort of burnt out? This is a project of getting out of our digital drudgery and doing something analog together. No networking, no icebreakers, no pitching.

You're in!
A community for people in Seattle who are mid-career, sort of burnt out, and want to do something about it that doesn't involve optimizing, networking, or LinkedIn.
We get together and do analog things with our hands IRL. Risograph printing, pottery, paddleboarding - whatever sounds cool and has nothing to do with your job.
No networking, no icebreakers, no pitching, LinkedIn stuff, corporate pomp, slop.
You don't have to be in tech. You don't have to be "burnt out" in a clinical sense. If you're tired and want to make something with your hands around other people, you're in.
I started this because, turns out, it's fun to do things that are not a side hustle or a professional development opportunity. (Shocker, I know). Sometimes you just want to make something with other people.
A low-stakes workshop in making something by compromising with an old-school machine. Join us for exactly what the title promises. We will be spending the next few hours attempting to convince a 300-pound risograph to print two colors on top of each other. Abandon your hope for precision or appetite for usefulness. That's why it's fun.
Can't commit to a full analog class? Join us for a low-stakes community event of board games and some other analog surprises. Free for members, $20 per person if you just want to try it out.
We're figuring this out as we go. If you've got an idea for a meetup — pottery, letterpress, darkroom photography, competitive origami — hit us up through the contact form.
The Threads post blew up (500+ likes, 200 comments). Apparently a lot of us are burnt out. Who knew. First event is being planned now — risograph printing class in April.
View on Threads →This website exists now. We went from "looking for ~20 people" to... this. Working on locking down a venue and date for the first meetup. Stay tuned.
More events, more weird analog activities, more excuses to not check Slack on a Saturday. Follow us on Threads for real-time updates.
Follow on Threads →Come check us out at our first meetup, and then you can say nice things about us here. Or mean things. We're too burnt out to take it personally.
↓Got an idea for a meetup? Want to help out? Just want to say you're burnt out and needed someone to know? We're here.
